Price: Price is in U.S. dollars.
Payment: Payment is made at the time of submission of your order. If you are an established institution within the United States, I will ship with an invoice which is due 30 days thereafter. Payment by check is available for registered customers, educational institutions, or governmental agencies in the U.S. only, I do not accept checks drawn on banks not doing business in the U.S. nor for amounts other than U.S. Dollars. For payment by check or postal order, the payee should read "John L. Poole". International money order need to be for U.S. dollars and drawn on an institution or bank doing business in the United States. Foreign buyers, please make inquiry for payment and shipping arrangements. If payment is made by check, I may present your check for payment to my financial institution prior to our releasing shipment to insure funds, this may interpose a delay of an additional seven (7) business days to my regular processing time.
COD: I do not ship COD.
Processing: Your order may take up to 10 business days to process upon my receipt. If you have provided an email address with your order, I will send an email notifying you that I received your order and I will notify you when the shipment has been delivered to the carrier. I use a postal box to receive mail and check the box once a week. Therefore, my receipt of orders submitted by mail may be subject to this delay. If you are a registered customer and have notified me by email of your order, I can prepare your order ahead of time so that when your payment arrives it will be shipped shortly thereafter.
Handling fee: $1.00 for all shipments. This includes the shipping package which measures 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" x 1/2-1 1/2". (California residents: this handling fee is subject to sales tax.)
Sales Tax: If your sale arises within California, you will be charged 8.25% for California Sales Tax.
Postage: Postage or carrier charge, will be calculated and added to the amount you tender to me. (California residents: postage is not subject to sales tax.)
Binding: You may purchase the editions unbound and unpunched so that you may bind them yourselves.
Sales are Final: All sales are final.
As is: My music is sold "as is."
Governing Law: We agree that the County of San Mateo, State of California is the sole venue for any claims arising hereunder and that this contract is governed by the laws of the State of California, and the laws of the United States of America.
Shipment
Carrier: Unless otherwise specified and agreed to, shipment is by U.S. Postal Service at the media rate. International shipment is by ground Economy (Surface Letter Post) and may take 6-8 weeks. Alternative shipping arrangements are accommodated at your expense.
Liability in Transit: My responsibility is discharged upon delivery of the shipment to the carrier. You are responsible for loss and or damage during transit. If you wish to insure your shipments, arrangements need to be made ahead of time and payment for this extraordinary expense included with the payment of your order.
Timing: I deliver shipments to the post office once a week If an alternative carrier and shipping is specified by you, arrangements can be made for carrier pick up during week days at Redwood City, California.
Hand Delivery: If I know you and have arranged for personal delivery, you will not be charged for handling (and, of course, you will not be charged for postage) unless you want the music in a shipping container, in which case the handling charge will apply.
